I wrote a couple of weeks ago about a new technique that I was learning: shirring (pronounced sheering). I was learning it for two reasons. 1. Because I wanted to. 2. In preparation for a class making a fun summer dress/top. It will take us a couple of weeks to complete our dresses, but we started last night and everyone was able to practice the shirring that we will be doing on the top, get their fabric cut, and do some of the sewing for their project. We had a lot of fun and anticipate more fun to come in the next couple of weeks!
